Goals conceded ratio Randolph v Adrian
Be interested to see what it is. Not taking anything away from terrible defending but does seem like we have been conceding a lot more since Randolph became number 1. Of course Fontes arrival is also similar timing wise.

I think Randolph has a history of being in goal when the big scores go in, although to be fair, I dont think he's any worse than Adrian. I think they are both just average.

Out the two, Adrian for me.

Adrian is the better all round keeper, but I don't think this position is really a problem, much bigger problems in other areas of the pitch

Randolph doesn't get worked up as much as Adrian does.

Probably only because he's older.

Both average keepers, but I don't feel as nervous with Randolph in goal.

If Bilic ain't looking for a new keeper already then he needs sacking for that alone!

Go all out for Hart, start showing we can be a big club.

Don't think Hart would do much better behind our defence, the way they are playing. I find it hard to remember Bilic was a defender sometimes. We are SHOCKING at the back. Even allowing for injuries.

I don't understand the exile of Adrian. I think there's clear distance between the two.

Adrian needs to be brought back. The number of goals we concede with Randolph is very alarming.

Re: Goals conceded ratio Randolph v Adrian
I think Randolph is slightly more reliable of the two but I think he has one glaring weakness in his game that will be exploited and that is he struggles to come off his line for crosses, basically if an opposition cross misses the first man and than you are almost guaranteed that it will be a chance for them with Randolph routed to his line.

I don't know which of them is better, I suspect neither are that great, but I guess there's now a case for reinstating Adrian. But apparently we're not planning to sign a keeper this Summer.

Either one would be adequate back up.

Randolph is a championship player at best who has become our no.1. only at West ham.

DJH 7:32 Sat Mar 18
Re: Goals conceded ratio Randolph v Adrian
I think Randolph has exceeded all expectations especially the near panic by many of the thought of him being in goal at Anfield but I agree never a number one, far too many weaknesses that can be targeted.

I Thought Adrian was out of contract this summer, unusual for us not to have someone signed up if we intended to keep them?

It's because we can take the option in his deal for another two seasons. We tried to flog him in the January window - no takers. So I think they see it as the least worst option just to give him two more years rather than let him go for free. Hardly the most inspiring approach though.

Randolph is 4 months younger than Adrian.

I don't think there is too much between them, both should be back up. Adrian would be my pick just, but I would get Hart IF he would come.

You're right, of course. (In my defence, Adrian looks loads younger)

I guess Adrian's not going to grow out of his tendency to lose it.

Both decent shot stoppers but with no presence. Joe Hart wouldn't just be a step up, but a leap. There will be bigger & more successful teams in for him though, missed the boat when we allowed a team like Torino come in for him.

To move onto the next level we may need a giant broom to sweep the place clean. We're a different team now, in a different stadium...I suspect that to progress we need a fresh start at all levels, though it won't happen for as long as it takes for the athletics stadium to feel like home.
